1. Purpose, Scope & Binding Standards

Mandatory Safety Rules for All Users and Transactions

These Safety and Marketplace Rules establish mandatory operational standards and legal boundaries for all users, creators, buyers, and automated agents participating in the DevSocial ecosystem.

By creating an account, publishing content, submitting project listings, downloading source archives, or entering private Deal Rooms, you agree to adhere strictly to these rules. Failure to comply may result in listing removal, transaction freezes, forfeiture of dispute protections, and permanent account termination.

2. Prohibited Content & Zero-Tolerance Violations

Malware, Stolen Source, and Deceptive Material

DevSocial enforces an absolute zero-tolerance policy against malicious, deceptive, and infringing digital assets. Any distribution, listing, or promotion of the following items is strictly prohibited across all feeds, repositories, messages, and Deal Rooms:

• Malware & Exploits: Ransomware, trojans, keyloggers, rootkits, backdoors, botnet agents, exploit kits, or code designed to achieve unauthorized access or disrupt target systems.
• Credential & Secret Harvesting: Scripts, scrapers, phishing utilities, or payloads targeting user credentials, authentication tokens, API keys, private keys, or wallet recovery seed phrases.
• Stolen Source & Piracy: Unauthorized proprietary source code, leaked enterprise repositories, cracked licenses, pirated digital assets, or forks violating upstream open-source license conditions.
• Deceptive Listings & Fraud: Fictitious metrics, falsified revenue proofs, synthetic traffic claims, manipulated reviews, hidden material dependencies, or deliberate misrepresentation of code capabilities.
• Undisclosed Telemetry & Spyware: Undisclosed background tracking, unauthorized data harvesting, ad injection, cryptocurrency miners, or telemetry engines lacking clear disclosure and opt-in consent.
• Abusive & Destructive Services: Darknet utilities, denial-of-service (DDoS) tools, credential stuffers, automated spam weapons, or products engineered primarily for illegal harm or harassment.

3. Source Delivery & Mandatory Isolated Inspection

Platform Disclaimers and Buyer's Security Duty

DevSocial serves strictly as an independent software venue, communication channel, and transaction facilitation conduit. DevSocial does NOT execute, compile, test, audit, or certify any user-uploaded source code archive, script, or executable on platform infrastructure.

While uploaded archives undergo automated checksum validation and virus scanning, clean scan results indicate solely that recognized malicious signatures were not detected. A clean scan does NOT constitute a security warranty, vulnerability certification, or quality guarantee.

• Clean Scan Limitation: Automated scans are preliminary hygiene filters; they do not certify that source code is bug-free, secure, or free from zero-day vulnerabilities or backdoors.
• Mandatory Isolated Environment: Buyers, licensees, and recipients are contractually required to unpack, inspect, compile, and execute delivered code exclusively within an isolated sandbox, disposable VM, or air-gapped container.
• Local Execution Waiver: DevSocial disclaims all liability for local machine damage, data destruction, ransomware compromise, or network breaches resulting from executing delivered archives outside isolated sandboxes.
• 'AS-IS' Provision: All digital assets, software repositories, and deliverables are provided on an 'AS-IS' and 'AS-AVAILABLE' basis without express or implied warranties of any kind.

4. Deal Rooms, Conditional Payments & Dispute Safeguards

Transaction Lifecycle, Funds Handling, and Anti-Circumvention

DevSocial Deal Rooms provide structured milestone coordination for source code transfers and acquisitions. In strict accordance with platform design and regulatory requirements, platform-coordinated funds represent milestone-based commercial conditional payments processed through licensed payment providers, not legal trust escrow.

Every Deal Room includes an agreed inspection window (1 to 30 calendar days). During this period, the buyer must verify delivered assets against the accepted contract specifications.

• Inspection Window & Auto-Acceptance: Buyers must conduct inspections within the contracted window. If no formal dispute is logged before the inspection period expires, delivery is deemed accepted and funds are irrevocably released to the seller.
• Anti-Circumvention Prohibition: Moving deal communication, code deliveries, or payments off-platform to avoid platform fees or safety controls constitutes a material breach and immediately voids all dispute protections.
• Dispute Protocol: Legitimate defects or failures to satisfy agreed specifications must be submitted through the internal Deal Room dispute module before taking any external financial action.
• Chargeback Safeguards: Initiating an external payment chargeback without completing the platform dispute review violates these rules, results in account suspension, and triggers liability for chargeback costs.

5. Reporting & Immutable Evidence Audit Trail

Tamper-Resistant Records and Administrative Discretion

Any member can report suspicious posts, deceptive projects, abusive messages, or compromised accounts via built-in reporting options. High-risk security reports and payment disputes enter a restricted administrative review queue.

To resolve disputes definitively and protect victims of fraud, DevSocial maintains immutable, tamper-resistant audit logs of message histories, file upload hashes, status transitions, and participant interactions.

• Preserved History: Message deletions and edits do not erase records; original content and timestamps remain preserved in restricted audit trails accessible to authorized moderators.
• Administrative Authority: DevSocial administrators reserve the right to freeze deal transitions, quarantine files, withhold payout distributions, or terminate accounts during active investigations.

6. Intellectual Property & DMCA Compliance

Seller Ownership Warranties and Takedown Requests

Sellers represent and warrant that they hold valid ownership, copyright, or authorized licensing rights for all code, graphics, documentation, and dependencies sold or distributed on DevSocial.

Third-party open-source components must be documented with compliant license headers. DevSocial promptly processes formal copyright takedown notices, removing verified infringing content and penalizing repeat infringers.

7. Limitation of Liability & User Indemnification

Comprehensive Legal Protections for the Platform

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DevSocial, its officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from platform usage, transaction outcomes, or third-party code.

Users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DevSocial and its affiliates from any third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and legal costs resulting from the user's content, listings, delivered code, or breach of these rules.
